We stayed in this lovely old Palazzo for a few days. Old building with his own style and atmosphere. Rooms are not that big but everything necessary inside. Nice view over the roofs of Cocconato; on clear days we could see the Alps. Breakfast including everythin needed for a proper start in the day. Good location for day trips to... More

Locanda Martelletti is a fantastic spot in the heart of Piedmonte.....close to Asti and Alba and also close to the amazing city of Turin (about an hour's drive by car). The immediate area also got great shopping as Italian fashion manufacturer, Combipel, is headquartered in Cocconato and has a retail store and outlet closeby to the hotel. That said, the... More

We stayed at Locanda Martelletti for a long weekend in May. The hotel is a hidden gem in its category. The building itself is a nicely restored labyrinth of narrow halls and unexpected turns - quirky but beautiful. Our "Junior Suite" was very spacious and nicely decorated. Cocconato is a sweet little village with several restaurants and a very good... More

We stayed at this lovely hotel for my birthday weekend, whilst visiting Piedmont. The hotel is in a stunning hilltop town and is a great base for visiting the region. Worth booking in advance for dinner - there's little alternative and we had to eat quite late, as we forgot to book before travelling. The only thing to be aware... More

I can't say enough good things about this charming (if out-of-the-way) little hotel and restaurant. We spent the last 3 nights of a two-week Italy trip here and they were truly the most memorable of our stay. The hotel is a sort of maze of spaces attached by stairways and "tunnels" of stone and brick. Every turn revealed another interesting... More

Dear Nabuti, thank you very much for your review, it helps us doing better. Our breakfast normally has: tea, coffee, milk, bread, butter, jam, honey, fresh fruits, joghurt, cheese and ham, biscuits and croissants fresh orange juice (in season) or fruit juice. Italian roads aren't easy (it is her beauty!), we need 40 min to reach Turin centre. I look... More

Gorgeous palace in the heart of a small historic town in the Province of Asti. Don't plan dining out as the hotel restaurant is one of the best hidden gems in the region. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious with all the amenities including mini-bar. The service was also excellent and very friendly. The hosts were very happy to offer... More

We stayed here while touring the Piedmont, sampling local wines, and enjoying the rolling vineyards. The hotel is on a small square in Cocconato. When we arrived, there was construction near the hotel and the street was closed. We parked the car and walked to the hotel. The chef walked back with us, got in the car and showed us... More

I chose Locanda Martelleti by Trip Advisor reviews. After a horrendous drive from Chianti, found myself in Asti using my GPS to find out just where this hotel was. It was about 25 minutes and on the top of a hill up narrow roads but, wow, it was well worth it. The husband and wife who own and run this... More

Very clean hotel, very professional hosts who make you feel welcome. Special commendation for the fly screens in the windows which keep the mosquitos out (fly screens in the doors would be a nice addition, btw). The town of Cocconato is quaint and picturesque, you certainly know you have arrived in Italy. The hotel itself has the charme of an... More
