This place was fantastic. We stayed at Paintbox this past weekend as part of a wedding party, bride and groom included. Rented out the whole place. Location was perfect - we could walk to the church, walk to the places we wanted to eat, and my 7 months-pregnant wife was able to walk around and enjoy the scenery of town... More

Thanks for taking the time to write your review. The Paintbox Lodge is perfect place to host the intimate members of your wedding party and we really felt like this wedding crew did it just right. And we agree, if you can walk to everywhere you need to go, it makes a busy day, like a wedding day, feel carefree.... More

This was our third visit to Paintbox and it gets better every time. It is super cosy. We love the fireplace and the deep soaker tub. The beds are so comfortable and it's very quiet and serene despite being right in downtown Canmore. They have added a complimentary "continental" breakfast which we expected to be cereal, yogurt, etc. It was... More

Thank you for your review. The Paintbox Lodge is tucked on a side street one block from the downtown of Canmore. Close enough to the action and (usually) far enough for a quiet stay. Glad you enjoyed the breakfast too. We are hooked onto making homemade yogurt. It is really simple to make, delicious, reminds us of the traditions of... More

Paintbox Lodge is a small and cosy hotel, but the rooms are big and the beds are awsome:-) The owners and the rest of the staff do an excellent job on making you feel welcome. Great breakfast served in the combined citchen and lounge. If you like Tapas, there is a very good restaurant just next door. We will be back!

Glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to your return. For those looking for excellent dining, Tapas is right next door to the Paintbox Lodge and has been voted the most romantic place to eat in Canmore a few years running. More

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend in February at my brother's recommendation (who lives in Canmore). We were not disappointed! The bed was wonderfully soft and cozy, without hurting my back, the tub was a wonderful, deep soaker tub and in the Studio Suite we had a view of my favorite mountains, The Three Sisters (although partially... Glad you enjoyed your stay in the studio suite and the granola! The studio suite is our smallest suite and we appreciate the feedback on storage space. We will see if we can make some improvements. We look forward to you visiting again. More

What a jewel this boutique bed and breakfast is! Our stay was perfection from beginning to end! The rooms were lovely, spotless, comfortable and indescribably charming. We had a romantic birthday couples weekend here and stayed in The Loft suite which was perfect for just such an occasion; I would highly recommend it! The location is second to none in... More

Thank you for your kind and heartfelt words and we are thrilled you enjoyed your stay. This is our second year as "hoteliers" since retiring from Olympic Sport. We aspire to make the Paintbox Lodge feel like our favorite hotels we stayed in while we were ski racing in Europe. Canmore is amazing in the place to be in for... More

Talking to two-time World Cup Champion skier Thomas Grandi made the experience for me. So interesting and so accomplished and so humble. Plus a terrific cook. I learned a lot about the psychology of winning -- you have to be willing to take risks and be scared! And when you have a bad run, be professional! Instead of shaking it... More

Myself and two girlfriends stayed in the Cabin Suite on the main floor for the August long weekend in 2011. It was a wonderful, unique accommodation, so close to downtown we could pop in and stow our shopping bags and go out again. We were spoiled by our breakfast chef, who made apple cinnamon French toast and eggs benedict. We... More

We held our intimate wedding last weekend at the Paintbox and everything about the Paintbox was note perfect. We had booked the entire lodge (5 rooms, with a few of them being suites) to host our immediate families. Mallory was incredibly helpful throughout. We had yummy breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday in the kitchen. The kitchen is fantastic - and... More

A birthday celebration + fireplace + bathtub for two + run of the hotel = memorable weekend :) Abosolutely lovely accommodation and service. Arrived in the evening, so were given the code to let ourselves in. We wandered the Lodge and admired all the 'little touches', before settling in front of our fireplace while we waited for the tub to... More

We started out our stay in Canmore by staying at the Silver Creek Lodge. What a mistake. We later ran into a guest of the Paintbox Lodge. It was fate. He told us how great it was and the next morning we we booked in. It's me, my husband and our 15 month old son. What a great place. Excellent... More
