Just found out today they closed the older wing of this hotel for renovations. After 20 years of talking about it we were looking forward to staying in a wonderful old property with a beautiful sea view. Now we are being bumped to the newer wing, which Im sure is nice but not the point. Shouldn't you at least look... More

Spent 3 days here last October and had just the best say. Was an exceptionally warm fall and the outdoor swimming pool was busy. Very nice small pub style bar on lower floor was great for a pub style dinner in the evening . was being operated by Fairmont at that time but they were giving up the management at... More

My husband and I stayed here during an overnight summer trip to St. Andrews. The check-in staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room was in the main part of the property, so the room was a bit smaller than traditional box-style hotels. The room was clean enough, though some of the original features showed some of their years of wear... More

I have had negative experience here but you HAVE to stay here at least 1 night on your trip. It's a historic hotel you can't get anywhere else. Don't pay attention to the comments about in need of repairs and outdated... the hotel is very OLD, what do you expect. This is why I stay here. It's overpriced but spend... More

We stayed for the weekend in the old section, we were there for a tournament. It was interesting. We had a room on the 4th floor ( the most haunted floor). It was almost as far away as you could get from everything. No one else on the floor and not many in the building so we were not sure... More

Was there for a wedding. The location and accomidations were amazing. I travel a lot and found their off season prices to be a bit high. I got a "better rate" as I joined the fairmont club and because of the wedding rates, otherwise a great place to visit.

Very expensive. The reg and studio rooms are small and not worth the cash. Elevator kept breaking all weekend. The main building does have character though. The restaurant is super expensive as well and they make you pay for your internet. So free wifi or corded hookup are not here. Bill along with it. So will I stay again nope.... More

We stayed here in a studio apartment for one night on the way to New Hampshire and again on the way back home from New Hampshire. The property is a beautiful old historic hotel which is well kept up. The food was excellent but very pricey. We had planned on staying here for years and were not disappointed.
