We loved the Lennox Inn. It really is like traveling back in time, with all the rooms painstakingly restored as they might have appeared in the 1790s, down to the paint colors and the cool cage bar in the old tavern room (now breakfast room). But this isn't a kitschy "theme" inn or something; everything is done with really good,... More

My husband and I spent a lovely night at this wonderfully restored period property. Reading the owner's story was really inspiring. He has put so much work and love into the resoration project. The B&B is walking distance from everything in Lunenburg. The breakfast was delicious too!

The Lennox Inn is a verby special place and you have to realize that when choosing to go there. You might set aside having a private bath for the wonderful historical reality of the place. Go, but have breakfast elsewhere.

It was the first of October when Robert Crum answered the door to his B&B - the oldest continuously run inn in Canada (established 1791). Our Cornwallis Room was spacious with a four poster bed, ancient fireplace (one of four in the house) at the top of the stairs with a separate, but modern, bathroom next door. Our hearty breakfast... My husband and I came to Lunenberg at the end of August without a reservation. We looked at a few waterfront properties, but we were disappointed by the lack of character in the rooms we saw. They were more motel type rooms than B&B's. Then we came to the Lennox Inn and immediately knew we had found the place we... More

First, this place is old and carries on the tradition of old into the care and cleanliness. You have been warned. Second, read the other reviews about breakfast and reference point #1. Thrird, the owner is a little odd, but you have the give him some benefit in that he rescued the building from a derelict state in 1991. To... More

I would highly recommend the Lennox Inn for those who are interested in history. It is not a posh spa-like B&B, but rather a historically accurate experience---though a very comfortable one at that. We had a huge room with 2 double beds and a bathroom down the hall. No TV because that wouldn't be very 1791, but there are plenty... More

Lennox Inn is a unique experience . It has been restored by Robert to keep as many original features as possible, and we had great fun looking at the bowed walls, slanting floors and staircase. The ensuite bathroom was a masterpiece itself - fitted into a small cupboard so as to keep the appearance and fabric of the large room... More

While it's in an interesting historical building, the breakfast was lackluster, the room smelled very musty, and it wasn't particularly clean.

This is probably the nicest B&B we stayed during our canadian trip. The historical building is unique, perfectly restored, genuine without frills. The overall experience was very good. The room (we had the double bed one) was large and confortable. Breakfast was good, fresh with very good homemade muffins and eggs. We did not try the porridge because we don't... More
