4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 June 2013 NEW

We were originally going to stay the weekend it snowed heavily in march 2013. However the proprietors allowed us to postpone it until April and keep the special offer we were taking advantage of. We chose our room (upstairs with two single pushed together making a massive super king perfect for us and our 2year old) and we were not... More

My husband and I and another couple stayed at Rivendale last weekend. We booked back in January so we were lucky to secure a booking for the hot tub for the day while we were going to be there. The hot tub was what really pulled us to this site as it adds a bit of luxury to the trip.... More

We stayed in a tent for the weekend, but would have loved to stay longer. clean site, beautiful location, and friendly staff. I loved every minute there. Showers and toilet facilities were excellent. Food in bar was very good also. I would recommend this site to everyone.

Came for a weekend stay in our tourer.lovely site, very peaceful with clean toilets. Unfortunately the site is let down with the bar/restaurant. Rude staff and no choice on meals.the food menu on the website looks great but in reality there was only a choice of 4 meals.

We arrived on site Sat 25th May, having booked a 5 night stay. The site, staff and location was so good, we stayed for the full week. Shame the heavens opened for three days after extending our visit! The reception staff gave free walking maps, and recommended a good pub on one of the walks - unusual as they have... More

I visited Rivendale early May, the caravan and camping site was in a lovely old quarry , nicely set out, with different areas for different things such as camping, yurts, statics tourers. Staff were pleasant, I wouldn't say they were over friendly or over helpful. The restaurant and bar were closed except on weekends which it did state on the... More

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, the hot tub had sprung a few leaks at the time of your visit, hence was out of action, for which please accept our apologies. Our cafe is open to both residents and non-residents 7 days a week 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The bar also opens on some mid-week evenings outside of the... More

We have just had a wonderful long weekend in the beautiful Olympia Lodge at Rivendale. It was a perfect holiday home for 6 adults. Spotlessly clean, incredibly stylish, comfortable and very well equipped. As a group of mixed ability cyclists it's ideally located for family cycling on the flat Tissington Trail and for road cyclists who aren't afraid of long... More

Hi. Just back from rivendale. Stayed in the meadow with our tent and really loved the setting. I actually like the fact you can't take your car onto the meadow. It's covered in wild flowers and lush grass and all this would be turned over in no time. Besides the whole place feels more tranquil and less like a car... More

from the moment I booked this place I just knew it would be great, but I never ever imagined it would be as wonderful as it was-just a perfect setting and the people working there are so lovely. We went here to go cycling on 5 of the trails and we were not let down, we stayed in a wooden... More

I think the location is brilliant. However, a few issues hampered our stay. Firstly, the toilet block:- I cant understand why it is so far away from the camping pitches and close to the caravans. Poor weather and lack of a direct route there made us miserable. Toilet paper was not refilled and i was greatly disturbed by the cctv... More

I am very sorry you were disappointed by your stay. We do sell goods after their best before date - at a discount. We do not sell goods that have gone past their use by dates. The toilets are cleaned and checked several times per day - but it is possible for a loo to run out in between these... More
