Stayed two nights at this great B&B in Port Hardy prior to ferry to Prince Rupert. James & Susan were great, friendly hosts, full of useful local knowledge, great suggestions and advice, before and during our stay. The breakfasts were awesome - tasty and plentiful. On the second morning, we had to leave at 6am to catch the ferry and... More

It's difficult to give a Full review of this lovely B&B as we were there for such a short time, but despite this, our hosts James and Susan were very friendly and welcoming. We arrived quite late at night having just come from the "Inside Passage" ferry and took the Port Hardy shuttle (a yellow school bus!) that James told... More

Three of us stayed two nights at the Orange Tabby in Port Hardy on Vancouver Island before boarding a liveaboard boat to scuba dive the area. James was our host, as his wife was out of town. My husband and I stayed in a larger room with private bath, queen bed, and plenty of storage; our friend was just across... More

Stayed 2 nights at Orange Tabby prior to getting the ferry north to Prince Rupert. Fantastic and friendly hosts with infectious enthusiasm and great recommendations. Bottle of homemade fizz on arrival was welcomed after a long drive. Only wish we could have stayed longer – there’s so much to offer.

We have chosen this B&B based on other reviews on trip advisor and we were not disappointed. James and Susan are super nice people and great hosts. We had a room with private bathroom ( which had very nice shower) and our own gas heater which came handy for drying some wet clothes. We had 3 breakfasts with them and... More

The north of Vancouver Island is a unique possibility to see some of the greatest wildlife in one of the most beautiful settings and surroundings you'll ever come across. If you love nature and everything that lives in it, then you should visit Port Hardy. Stay for at least 5 days, you won't regret it. Bald eagles, Blackbears, Humpback whales... More

My husband and I stayed here one night before taking the ferry to Prince Rupert. The location was very convenient, on a quiet street just a few minutes from the ferry terminal. The hosts, James and Susan, were so friendly and very enthusiastic about sharing information about Port Hardy! The room was very clean and comfortable. We were provided with... More

Our short one-night stay was not enough in Port Hardy. We stayed at the Orange Tabby after a long day on the ferry. Our room was clean and contemporary, the bed heavenly after the long day on the ferry. There were many thoughtful touches - coffee/tea, a small refrigerator, items in the bathroom, robes, slippers, quality linens. The best part... More

Our family spent 4 wonderful days at the Orange Tabby B&B with the lovely Susan and James. Other than outstanding service and wonderful facilities, the best part about our stay was how welcome and "looked after" we felt. I knew we were in good hands, when I first spoke with James to make our reservation - I was a bit... More

I was on the way to Haida Gwaii with my mum, and while looking this place stood out among the others in Port Hardy. The B&B is in a great location 2 minute walk from the information office, the greyhound stop and other stuff. Our room was super clean and nicely decorated (and well worth the price we paid) and...
