Sorry, this is a long time in coming. As a group of 4, we had just hiked the WCT in May of 2011, and needed a place to crash before catching the water taxi in the morning. -Had a great overnight there, hot water clean towels etc. The place was adequate but going through renos and a management change. Rona... More

I tried to check in at 3:30pm on a Sunday and couldn't find anyone around. I came back at 4:00, knocked and knocked and finally someone came to give me a key. The sheets had a stain, the comforter had a cigarette burn, the coffee maker was very dirty, stains on the carpet, tv was broken and shower head was... More

Stayed here for one night with my wife and 2 kids. Our room had a bedroom, small kitchen and sofa-bed. The dishes were dirty and old. The sofa- bed was uneven and smelly, could not sleep in it. The TV did not work at all. Not recommended.

We pre booked a family room at Bamfield Trails lodge for 2 nights. Beds had cigarette burns and very badly stained pillows. We asked for new pillows and the manager obliged but left the old ones in the room and did not show any interest - simply blaming her cleaner. Shower curtain was filthy. Carpets and fittings very tired and... More

Stayed there just recently and was told there was new management. The pub had great food, with very outgoing staff. The Hotel is old put kept in A 1 shape. What a little gem. If your looking for a great fishing or relaxing weekend I would say look no further. We will be back, thank you so much for the... More

the bamfield trails motel is a basic motel -- nothing fancy, but i thought the negative reviews were very harsh. our room was clean, the girls at the bar (the afterhours office) were super nice, and they even gave us and our friends a late (2pm) checkout for free since we were out fishing. i think its a great option... Absolutely terrible. I stayed here after finishing off the west coast trail in hopes of a clean bed and a warm shower. I received neither - in fact, I would have been better off staying at the local campground in my tent for another night because I would have at least had a warm shower! The bed looked disgusting -... I booked several nights at the Bamfield Hotel last summer for myself, two friends and a moorage for our boat. After some trouble, at their end, I was eventually asked for a deposit on my Visa. Due to unforseen circumstances I was forced to cancel my trip three days after my deposit was processed. I was assured by their operator... More

The room had not been cleaned properly. The toilet needed to be cleaned, pubic hair and dirt had accumulated between the tank and seat. The carpet needed vacuuming which became really apparent when we moved furniture to unfold the sofa bed. Housekeeping said they were out of soap so you couldn't wash your hands never mind take a shower. The... More

Bamfield Trails Hotel is part of a group called the Hawkeye Marine Group which owns a few properties in Bamfield. I called about reserving for August and was quoted a price of 289 per night for the Kingfisher Lodge. It is a part of a house. I needed to confirm my dates and the manager needed to confirm what exactly... More
