I stayed at this venue whilst away on business. It really is tucked away, but the views from the front of the cottage are incredible. My welcome from the manager was warm and inviting, possibly the best welcome I've had, greeted by name. I was shown to the room, not the original room the manager had planned, due to an... More

Returned today after staying for 2 wonderful nights. A superb place to stay far enough away from main roads etc to be quiet but close enough to be in most places within an hour e.g; Cheddar Gorge, Longleat safari park, Bath and Stonehenge. The photos on here do not do this place justice. The only complaints I have were that... More

When I first moved to the cottage I was surprised how much dust there was, it's the old flagstone floors, lime wash paints and creaking beams, we wage a constant war but the house wins. New properties are easier to manage. We have just changed the break fast arrangements to make it more comfortable, opening a dining area, and I... More

Stayed 2 nights with our family - Meadow Cottage is a pretty thatched cottage, it's very well-kept with pretty gardens. We stayed in a large family room with an enormous bed for us & 2 singles for the kids. We were met by the owners 2 very friendly affectionate dogs on arrival & our kids loved going out to play... Stayed one night and was made very welcome on arrival and shown to a lovely warm room. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was good. Its in a good location for the airport, The downside is the breakfast. It is in a very small kitchen and every guest is milling about leaning over each other to get to... More

When you read the bad reviews here, it seems that staff and management has changed now.... We had our room in the fresh renovated part of the house.... all new, very clean - very nice room, brandnew bathroom - just lovely. Bed was a bit small, but okay. Very quiet, apart from some noisy neighbours, but that is not the... More

Stayed one night before going to Bristol Airport. It is a very lovely building and the rooms are cosy, it is good value and we were made very welcome. We were the first couple to try out the new Bistro, and overall the result was good. Many thanks for the welcome to the new Bistro bottle of wine, very generous... More

Great nights stay here. Lots of character to the building and we had a lovely warm cosy room. Couldn't fault the service - very helpful. Minutes from the airport and great value parking for the duration of your onward holiday. Will definitely stay again.

We couldn't fault this place at all, warm room, hot shower, comfy bed and lovely self-serve breakfast, friendly hosts and dogs - I could go on! There's quite a few places around this area looking to get airport travellers, this stood out in the way it looked and how comfortable everything was, would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic and characterful old building, located down a single-tack country lane. Lovely and friendly owners, who made us feel welcome and accommodated our special request of checking in earlier than usual. Other reviewers say that some of the rooms are a bit on the small side (unavoidable I guess in a building of this type and age), but our room... More

Simple spotless rooms, lovely decor and warm with very roomy ensuite. Staff were friendly and wonderfully accommodating, breakfast is self service-cereal toast fruit yoghurt tea coffees got chocolate and a dozen teas! The only thing is the taxi to the airport is almost £10 which is fairly steep as it is less than 2miles down the road!
