The hotel was great, set in a lovely location. The food served in the pub was really good. We had the rump steak burger with Stilton which was great. The breakfast was also very good. Parking is easy and the staff very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and tidy with everything you would expect from a quality hotel,... More

We had a one night stay at the bowl in an really enjoyed it. The room is clean and cosy with a nice bathroom. Free WIFI We had dinner there and can really recommend that. The dinning area provides a genuine inn feeling and the menu offers a ok selection of newer pub dishes and the classics. We had some... More

I stayed at The Bowl Inn with a friend in a twin room. It was fairly easy to find and looked lovely in its village location. Large car park (you don't have to pay if you're staying at the pub). Due to other reviews commenting about the noise from the bar permeating to the rooms I rang and asked for... More

Charming and cosy with plenty of picnic tables outside to enjoy a nice pint on a sunny day. The sandwiches are great value, excellently presented and accompanied by a small portion of chips. Friendly staff and plenty of free parking. Well worth a visit.

From the moment we arrived we were pleased that we had picked to stay in such a lovely oldy worldy pub. Our room was lovely and clean and comfortable (if a little too warm) the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was also very good, especially the breakfast the following morning.

My partner and I stayed here for one night on our way to somewhere else. Excellent location in a gorgeous little village and our room was really nice. Very modern and spotlessly clean for an old inn and although the bathroom was tiny it had everything in there you needed and again was modern and clean. We had room 15... More

My partner and I stayed at the Bowl Inn for one night only in September en route from visiting family in Cardiff and visiting more family the following day in Derby prior to our return to Lancashire. From the moment we saw it we were 'Bowled over' it is the sort of pub you see on postcards and in a... More

Very impressed with our overnight stop. Decent sized room which was clean and well equipped. Enjoyable evening meal and breakfast, using locally produce, with a blackboard explaining where the food was sourced.Good choice of 4 local real ales. Friendly efficent staff. Very handy for M5 as only 5 minutes away, and an idea stop over and offered excellent value.

This inn was recommended by a colleague, and I'm very glad I took his advise. Lovely place, lots of character with lots of warmth from all the staff. Had lunch there which was ok, and a cooked breakfast in the morning which had a good selection of foods to choose from. My room was a good size, very comfy bed... More
