This amazing property has a long history, and now belongs to the University of Cambridge. Its core business is residential courses, but there are often rooms available for ordinary travellers. These "study bedrooms" are beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean. The food is very good - taken in the panelled dining hall. When we were there, there were visitors from down... More

excellent, disabled room was one of the best i have experienced, excellent service, reception staff most helpful. breakfast adequate remembering that Madingley Hall is not really a hotel. A definate place to stay when visiting Cambridge, reasonable priced and therefore a five star rating for same.

I stayed at Madingley Hall for 2 nights while attending a conference held there. The place is well-kept, is in a wonderful location, everything is clean, food is good, rooms are well appointed. I simply can't find a fault to write about. The only downside is that you will need a taxi to and from, which costs about £15 one... More

A beautiful, largely Jacobean house, which is the residential headquarters of Cambridge University's Institute of Continuimg Education. Rooms, in post-war stable conversions, are well appointed, comfortable and quiet, with good showers (baths in some) and good wi-fi: breakfast is in the Great Hall, with a separate table for B+B guests. Ale in the bar isn't real (but good bottled is... More

stayed here on a course. Very nice. The rooms are good and setting is superb. Lovely gardens to wander in or read and laze in, if you just wanted a couple of peaceful days. Very well stocked library. Breakfast - great choice. Rooms have digital TV. You can ask for a bath + shower. Bathrooms not swish but perfectly fine.... More

My family attended a wedding at Madingley Hall recently. The venue itself is in a wonderful setting of Cambridge countryside and very beautiful grounds. Even though it was October the weather for the day was great and we managed to be outside for a large portion of the daylight for the reception. The food was spectacular during the wedding but... My boss & I have stayed here several times this summer, & found it be very convenient for access to the rest of the county. The hall & gardens are stunning, especially on a summer's evening, & the whole site abounds with history. Rooms are geared up for conferences, so are spotlessly clean, modern & functional, with free Wifi, televisions,... More

We stayed here for one night and loved it. The hall and gardens are beautiful and it's the only time I've ever stayed in a Tudor mansion. The building and gardens are incredibly well maintained and I could have spent a week just photographing my immediate surroundings; it's like being in a film set. The staff are friendly, helpful and... More

The approach is stunning - British grandious at it's best! However the rooms were a tad more 2000- municipal but functional . Staff were helpful and friendly . My only comment was re breakfast - 2 things 1)stopped at 9 am ( i am on Holiday not at a conference so want a lie in ) and 2) whilst good... More

Just returned from Madingley Hall having attending a wedding there. What an exceptional setting for a wedding, can definitley describe it as a "posh do" with all the bells and whistles. The staff were wonderful, as was the food. We also stayed overnight and our room was lovely and comfortable - modern compared to the main house and comparative to... More
