My collegue and I stayed for a business trip over two nights. When we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome, not like a normal hotel. The rooms are very nice and clean, with all the amenities you will need. I would recommend anyone to stay here.

I stayed at the Three Pickerels on a short business trip. The location is superb, nice and quiet. There was an extremely warm welcome from the owners. The room was really clean, with all the facilities you would expect including fast wifi. I had a superb meal, freshly cooked and a hearty breakfast. I have alredy booked for a second... More

We stayed here for one night and found the accommodation of a high standard. Lovely staff who were very helpful and the bar had a quiet but friendly atmosphere to finish our night off in. Altogether a pleasing little public house.

Beautiful location by river, great decking for sunny eating out, wish to see it in the summer. Bedroom decorated very tastefully, warm & snug for December. Shower room en suite spacious rather than boxlike where you struggle to rotate so definitely Like :) Appreciate such a clean & tidy bedroom , very important as it makes you relax more. Comfy bed... Needed a stop-over B&B in Mepal. Always thought of this as a run down pub. What a mistake! A real gem. Under lovely new young managers. Right on the riverside - modern warm large room with hot large en-suite. A mix of modern and wood feel. Felt very homely and comfortable. Nice Bars downstairs - cream, wood walls , candles.... More

The pub has just changed hands, and we were the first B & B customers under the new landlady, Emily. Clearly very early days, and a little chaotic at times, but her enthusiasm and hyard work made up for any minor niggles. We were leaving at 5.30 the first morning of our stay to go shooting, and had arranged for... More

A friend, my brother and I visited to see Ely, Cambridge, Duxford, etc.. This is a good, traditional, friendly pub with good reasonably priced food and real ale. The accomodation was comfortable and clean. The en suite was good too - in so many, the shower is the problem: here it was large and easy to operate. The location is... More

We stayed in 4 different pub/guesthouses in this area over 4 days and this was the most expensive. The location was lovely - right next to the river and the staff were very friendly. The room was a nice size and very comfy but the bathroom was dirty. The toilet did not appear to have been cleaned for weeks. Food... More
