The hotel is the height of luxury and comfort. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was well equipped. There is no tea or coffee in the rooms but these can be ordered for a charge from reception. The morning cup of tea was delivered on time and was worth the expense. Breakfast was exceptional. There was a very wide... More

Fantastic service from the minute you set foot into the lobby, it's like taking a step back in time to old world elegance and fine dining with unrivalled service. Great location situated right next to the old clock tower. Our room was divine with beautiful linens and fine furnishings. Breakfast did not disappoint. Overall a real treat and a very... More

Stayed one night at The Grosvenor. Beautiful hotel and staff were very attentive. Buffet breakfast was OK, bit standard. I expected more from a 5 star hotel such as freshly cooked bread and local honey. The windows don't open so you have to suffer air conditioning. Our view was of the multi storey car park. A tour or explanation of... More

Stayed for just one night however, the Chester Grosvenor did not disappoint. Wonderful food and service in the refurbished Brasserie finished off a wonderful day that included a visit to the SPA. Attention to detail must be the prime focus for all the staff, who go the extra mile to ensure that your experience will be one to remember.

5th visit and never been disappointed. Rooms always immaculate, staff totally professional even though quite a few were on placement and not being paid. Everybody should dine in the Simon Radley Resaurant at least once.

We have stayed at the Chester Grosvenor many times over the last few years and we love it. We have also been fortunate enough to have eaten in the Simon Radley, the Arkle Bar (formerly the Library) and the Brasserie. We visited the hotel for a Spa today and called in at the newly-refurbished Brasserie for lunch. On the positive... More

Delay in posting this review but feel the need to. I took my wife to the hotel to celebrate her birthday. And have to say from the arrangements prior - flowers champagne in room - to leaving we were thoroughly looked after. The ambience of the hotel and amenities are excellent. We have stayed before. And every time we come... More

It was not until we received our confirmation letter that we were aware that once you arrive at the hotel you will be asked for a pre authorisation of £200 on your card! I do not object to a swipe of my card being taken upon check in, but to actually pre auth for £200 seems unethical; considering that when... More

One of the best things about this hotel is its position. Right in the centre of things. Having said that if you book a room at the front (and they are the better rooms. The rooms at the rear have an awful view if you can call it a view!) you will almost certainly be subjected to street noise in... More
