We planned a weekend stay in Chester and this hotel was perfectly located to take in all the local attractions. Although close to the city centre it was very quiet and particularly liked the complimentary sleep aromatherapy spray that defintely gave us a restful night. The food in the dining room was excellent as was the ample breakfast. The room... More

After a disastrous booking with a much cheaper hotel chain, my husband and I decided to splurge and stay the night here again. The reception staff were lovely and checked us in quickly but unfortunately as there was a wedding on at the hotel, the car park was full and we were given vouchers for the over flow car park.... I stay at the hotel regularly for business purposes for a few weeks at a time. It is situated in a perfect location right in the middle of the city and close to everything that you would want. The staff are excellent and always more than willing to help. The rooms are good, spotless but a bit dated. The food... More

We normally prefer to stay at small hotels or B&Bs but chose the Crowne Plaza because of its central location. I have nothing critical to say - the room was lovely and had recently been refurbished, the common parts were clean and welcoming. The staff were outstanding - from the helpful reception staff to housekeeping who came quickly and with... More

We have just returned form a two night stay at The Crown Plaza. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay, the room was well appointed and comfortable, the facilities were excellent and staff very helpful, friendly and polite. However on the Friday the town played host to a race day which appeared to throw the whole of Chester in to... More

Good location in centre of town, bedroom was roomy and comfortable with superking bed. Hotel is modern and clean with own spa and pook + on site car park (charged at £7.50/day or part) and council car park at ground level. Car spaces are designed to teach you how to limbo dance. Excellent buffet breakfast although at £16 per person... More

Our first visit to Chester and would certainly recommend this hotel and city to friends. Our rooms were clean, the food was very good, better than more expensive places we have stayed, but what made the visit memorable were the staff. They were all very welcoming, helpful with local knowledge and made you feel special - a great team. 2... More

Excellent location write on the city centre edge close to Chester race course, own car park which is good and not over priced. We had a executive room on the club floor with complimentary drinks in the lounge which was really good. Room was good nice and roomy bathroom nothing special though and we did have to ring down for... More

We had on overnight stay here and after reading mixed reviews were pleased with the room and the hotel. The pool was a little small and changing rooms a bit dated, but nevertheless fine for a quick swim. Staff are very polite and helpful. Our only issue was the temperature of the room- it was boiling!! There is air-con but... More
