We stayed for one night. Stefan was very helpful and knowledgable of the area. Room clean, bed comfy. Very good location. Full English breakfast cooked to order, toast, cereals, fruit, juices, tea and coffee. What more could you need for a weekend stay. A stones throw from the city walls, shops and race course. We would recommend and stay again.... More

The B&B is in the centre of town within walking distance of the major attractions, pubs and restaurants. Stefan was friendly and helped us upstairs with the luggage, he also gave us a lot of local information - suggesting places to eat. The full English breakfast was cooked to order each morning. The ensuite rooms were modern, bright with very... More

My daughter and I spent one night at Grosvenor Place on 2 April for her birthday. Only wish we could have stayed longer, maybe next time! Excellent location for all Chester attractions, attentive friendly host, clean functional room, good breakfast. Manager sorted out convenient parking for us, which in this town is a must! Represented great value for money. We... More

Myself and my wife stayed here for 2 nights over the Easter bank holiday weekend. We have stayed here previous in 2011 when it was under different ownership. The room we stayed in was the same one from 2011 but it had been updated to a more modern style and was clean. We scheduled our check in time for 13.30... More

I stayed at the guest house in March 2013. It proved to be clean, comfortable and very welcoming. The breakfast was just right, especially as it was snowing and very cold during my visit. The location is great as it so close to the city centre.

I stayed at the Grosvenor Place Guest House for 3 nights a week over a 5 week period as I was working in the Chester area. From the moment I arrived to the day I left I was made to feel welcome and Stefan gave me tips on where to eat and drink and what places to see. Nothing was... More

This is a very strange place. I was reprimanded for being late (I arrived at 1.45pm when my eta was 1pm) and shown up a dingy and slightly smelly staircase. Nearly turned and fled, but the rooms turned out to be clean - though not comfortable in any way. Everything was awkward - filling the kettle, plugging it in, pouring... More

This is a very unkind review which bears no resemblance to the guest house or the service that we provide. We hope that readers can be assured of this from the 5 star rating overall that we carry from reviews from our other guests. I can only imagine this reviewer has chosen to do this as mention of a gay... More

I arranged a stay over in Chester for me and my wife for Valentines night. We chose to stay in The Grosvenor Place as it was situated close to the city centre and local restaurants. I was unsure where to take my wife for our meal and the owners recommended alocal Tapas bar which went down a treat. The room... More

We had a great stay at Grosvenor Guest House on 9 February. Just an hour from Manchester and very easy to find on the edge of Chester centre. There is no reception as such, so the owner comes us to your room to explain the local area. What Stefan doesn't know about Chester's catherdral/pubs/bars/clubs/restaurants then it's not worth knowing. He... More
