Recently stayed at the Rathgowry. I was a little sceptical having read the few negative reviews on Trip Advisor, but have to say that my fears were totally unfounded. My room was immaculately clean and very well presented. The furniture looked brand new and there was plenty of choice of drinks, including some delicious home made biscuits. Breakfast was exceptional... More

I stayed with friends last year at the Rathgowry and came back for a short trip this may. The first thing I noticed was the fact that Sabine is not part of the Rathgowry anymore and with her the paintings she made and I loved had gone too, appart from one. The rooms are still very clean and the breakfast... More

Ater an amazing stay at a B & B the night before in Salisbury, we were disappointed in the Rathgowery. It was very old and outdated. The rooms were not well decorated and a little "cheesy." The towels were different colors, the shower was tiny, the bathroom door did not close and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. The view from... More

My wife and I stayed with our small baby for a week. The room was clean, tidy and spacious. There was a wide range of breakfasts available (I recommend the Continental; which comprised a hard boiled egg, selection of cold meats, breads and cheeses and a croissant). The new bed was comfortable and there was a good variety of hot... More

We stayed here and was pleasantly surprised. Loved the maritime theme in the room and all the attention to detail. Stunning view over the beach. John and Sabine ( the ownwers ) were very friendly and helpful. They genuinely wanted their guests to be happy and comfortable. That is quite a rarity these days. The location is perfect. Close to the... More

We were visiting from Australia and spent four weeks at Rathgowry. We could not have been happier with the clean and cheerful room, with the service and with the friendliness of our hosts. Sabine's home-made cookies and the freshly cooked breakfasts were delicious. We were particularly grateful for John's assistance in arranging a local well-priced hire car for us and... More

Very helpful, great location and view. John and Sabine went out of their way to provide a very pleasant stay--they pay close attention to what their guests need. The Rathgoury has personality, ---the decoration and artwork is unique. Breakfast is first rate. Bill and Nancy Jones

Stayed for the weekend. This is out third B&B in Falmouth and definitely the best by far. Really clean and tidy, great breakfasts and fun Pirate/seafaring theme. Comfortable beds (wife thought she was still at home). Lovely view of the sea and Gilly beach from our loft room window. Good value for money. Highly recommended. Will certainly come again.

Just an average B&B experience with nothing that sets it apart from the pack. Certainly it does not warrant the high reviews and accolades on TA. Hosts were fine, perfectly pleasant and happy to answer questions about the locality; room again was fine: big enough, clean enough, below average matteresses, tiny TV on the wall; breakfast was low league Little... Dear Guest We are very sorry to read that you have been so disappointed with The Rathgowry. You could have said something to us but obviously you preferred to write it here without complaining to us first. You call us average and you said you travel a lot and stay in a lot of B&B, so did we, and I... More
