When my daughter started uni in Falmouth I thought that one visit a term for 3 years would give me a chance to try 9 hotels in the area.....well, after one year it has been St.Michaels 3....others 0. This time the only single available was a 'cabin' at a very reasonable £34 though I was slightly wary of what kind... More

Beautiful decor, delicious, reasonably-priced bar food and above all, friendly, helpful and chatty staff. I cant recommend this place highly enough for a short break away. You have the balance of quality, immaculate and stylish surroundings and ambience with a generally relaxed and easygoing vibe. we really felt at home. The bar manager was entertaining and informative about dessert wines... More

We booked this visit to Falmouth as a last minute break at the bank holiday and was amazed to find rooms available in such a wonderful hotel. The Best Western hotel next door had recently burnt down but the staff at St Michaels had done a great job in cleaning up the smoke damage at their hotel and everything was... More

I don't see how this hotel has gained four stars. Its an ok three star at best. I was not terribly impressed with the rooms. They are so small and you can hear the person next door to you fart through the stud walls. Management are very snobby and couldn't care less about your needs. The hotel bar is so... More

Asked for a bit bigger room than normal & unfortunately we were put next to the cleaners office so we were awake early! The room was nice & we had an enormous bathroom. Unfortunately for us also there was a wedding party on both nights plus a hen night for one of the nights. I wish there was a notice... More

We booked a garden room which was pitched at better than a standard double but found it cramped and dark. The staff helpfully upgraded us to a superior double but we felt that it was more what you would expect of standard double. Also we were on a half price Sunday so given that we got a superior room for... More

The nautical theme of St Michaels interior was breathtaking when we first arrived, everything is so immaculate. The bar area and restaurant is very modern and the cocktails were delicious too! The reception staff are extremely friendly and helpful as are the bar staff. Top quality Cornish breakfast-best scrambled eggs iv ever tasted! Evening meals were also superb although the... More
