Stayed here for 5 nights on a Shearings break. Coach journey, transfers and driver excellent. Hotel very clean even if some areas were a little tired. Staff very friendly, efficient and polite. This hotel sounds promising, but, it is still stuck in the 60's with peeling wallpaper, creaking floors and bathroom doors that won't shut. Combine that with the warren style bedroom corridors and being able to hear people talking and running their baths or toilets. The catering however is definitely up to date, no faults there at all.

I am pleased you enjoyed certain aspects of your holiday, and understand some of your problems with the rooms. The Beresford is a typical seaside hotel, it has no uniformity, each room is a different size and with 103 bedrooms, it is bound to be a bit noisy!

The long weekend we had at this Bay hotel was fantastic, nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the welcome we received on arrival was second to none. Our room was very spacious and clean, with superb bedding. The dining room was also spacious with plenty of room and not elbow to elbow like some other Bay hotels....

Had a selfdrive 4 night break on all inclusive deal which represented good value for money. Staff helpful, food good and service quick and efficient. Inclusive drinks all day policy now much better than previously limited to evenings. Good size double room with bath and plenty of very hot water.
