Stayed here during a trip around Cornwall. A nice 10 min walk from the center of town (including a very large hill on the way back!) Tried to get a discount but no luck. £80. Parking is a bonus and the breakfast was 6/10. Room was with a great view but dated and small en-suite. Would I recommend... just, but... More

Had a lovely time the Hotel St. Eia. The rooms were clean and tidy, the breakfasts are tasty and if you get a sea view the panoramic vistas of St Ives are wonderful. The hotel is a little walk out of St Ives but if you enjoy Cornwall and St Ives you wont do better than to stay at the... More

Just spent a lovely easter weekend at this hotel. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The hotel is not the modernest but full of character and spotlessly clean. Our room was on the back of the hotel but could see the sea the sea through our side window which was an added bonus. There was no road noise and infact... More

Had read many negative reviews but....owners and staff were friendly, breakfast was great and the views were stunning, but the hotel was very jaded and outdated. The room was very tight and difficult to move around in but it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. However, we are frequent visitors to St. Ives and have stayed in many lovely hotels there... The owners were lovely and so was the cooked breakfast, but I'm afraid that's where the compliments begin and end. The room looks like it was last decorated in about 1970 and the shower just dribbled - no hope of doing any kind of showering!! The bed was sheets and blanket rather than duvet (admittedly this is a personal thing)... More

My room had a sea view which was wonderful (see photo), and I didn't even have to pay extra for it! The beds were decent with clean bedding and very good pillows (I hate cheap pillows!) The room was well stocked, with drinks making facilities, plenty of storage, a TV, en suite with towels provided, all clean and all in... More

Stayed at St eia fir 3 nights in aug, room quite small, but clean and comfortable and view was fab. Arrived early and room was ready, and breakfast was really good, and again the view at breakfast is amazing. Enjoyed the short walk down to the beach. Great location. Would stay there again.

Stayed here with some trepidation having read some of the bad reviews, but have to say we had a good time. Ok, it is a bit dated but the water was hot, we had tea making facilities, a fine breakfast, somewhere to park the car and a five minute walk to the beach. I think we do expect so much... More

I stayed at St Eia for 3 days in august 2010. I cannot believe what is being written about this place!! Everything was spot on from the moment I arrived! The hotel is full of character and its atmosphere is warm and invitng, unlike the modern clinical hotels of today, run by staff who quite frankly dont care whether you... More

I have to disagree with the preceeding negative reviews, I think the sea views and cosy rooms make up for the slight tiredness of the decor and all in all we had a great time staying at the St Eia. I think part of the problem is that the owners do most of the work and the male half of... More
