Spent 3 lovely nights celebrating our mini honeymoon at the start of May. We both had a brilliant time enjoying the fantastic setting really close to Porthminster Beach, and only a short walk to the centre of town. Staff were very attentive and really helpful. Great locally sourced breakfasts, and relaxing spa treatments in the Ren Room We look forward... More

Fantastic location, steps from the beach and an easy leisurely walk to town where you have a wide selections of pubs and restaurants. Anna gave us great recommendations for town. Everyone at the hotel could not have been nicer. The rooms are fine, we opted for the larger one without the sea view. The decor is modern and relaxing. I... More

Spent two very pleasant nights in this hotel. Well appointed, modern and clean. Pleasant staff. Good breakfast. Room 5 had good sea view and was spacious enough for my needs. Yes, the lane down to the hotel is hard to find and it is impossible for two cars to pass without one having to reverse but I live in Cornwall... More

We booked this hotel back in March for a birthday weekend in St Ives in May. Having had a friend who had stayed at the hotel and found the back rooms to be quite small, three weeks ahead of our stay, we called to confirm that we did in fact have what we had booked.. a superior sea view room..... No-one is more disappointed and regretful than us when a problem arises with a guest’s booking. We have recently moved to a new online booking site and there have been a couple of teething problems, where we haven’t received the correct booking details. We are the first to hold our hands up and apologise and do our very best to... More

As several of the reviewers of this hotel have mentioned, the rooms, to be polite, are quite small. The distance between one side of the bed in our room and the radiator is less than a foot. That's fine in warm weather but must be hell when it's cool or cold. Think of getting out of bed in the dark... More

This review pretty much sums up how we describe ourselves on our website! We’re not a big corporate hotel – we’re a 9-bedroom seaside place, classified as a small 3 star metro hotel by the AA. You do have to drive down a steep and narrow Cornish country lane to get to us. Our ample parking is, as other reviewers... More

Stayed at this hotel on a Groupon deal. Bit worried on check-in because they had no trace of our booking. As a result we were upgraded to the Suite, fab but dark because its at the back of the hotel, no views. Would be happy next time to pay extra for sea-view. Nevertheless, had great time and would recommend this... More

This was our second stay at the hotel having stayed in October 2011. We opted for a hotel for our regular Easter visit this year as opposed to an apartment as we were only in St Ives for five nights. Having stayed before we were aware of the very narrow steep road down to the hotel, but unless you are... More

Stayed here in March as a Groupon deal. Really loved the staff - so friendly and helpful, and great comms pre-stay. Also really impressed by the hotel's eco-values which are evident pretty much everywhere.
