We booked this hotel back in March for a birthday weekend in St Ives in May. Having had a friend who had stayed at the hotel and found the back rooms to be quite small, three weeks ahead of our stay, we called to confirm that we did in fact have what we had booked.. a superior sea view room.....

As several of the reviewers of this hotel have mentioned, the rooms, to be polite, are quite small. The distance between one side of the bed in our room and the radiator is less than a foot. That's fine in warm weather but must be hell when it's cool or cold. Think of getting out of bed in the dark...

Stayed at this hotel on a Groupon deal. Bit worried on check-in because they had no trace of our booking. As a result we were upgraded to the Suite, fab but dark because its at the back of the hotel, no views. Would be happy next time to pay extra for sea-view. Stayed here in March as a Groupon deal. Really loved the staff - so friendly and helpful, and great comms pre-stay. Also really impressed by the hotel's eco-values which are evident pretty much everywhere. We stayed in the room next to the REN treatment room and it was very small as expected from a Groupon deal, but warm and modern....
