Booking the Premier Inn was extremely difficult. I tried to book it twice through the hotel's website only to be denied due to being offshore. Twice my credit card was accepted and both times the payment was refused by their agent for some reason even thought mine has the chip and PIN feature. Contacting the hotel by email was impossible... would recommend for location right opposite the station and within walking distance of the centre, cleanliness of the rooms, friendliness of the staff, excellent service and very good food - ideal for our relaxing short break.

We stayed 1 night over the bank holiday weekend, we had prebooked a few weeks in advance and had paid the bargain price of £39.00. The room was spotlessly clean and tidy,and considering its location directly opposite the train station it was very quiet. We parked in the train station car park just under £10 for 24 hours.

Amazingly clean and efficient budget place to stay, would certainly stay here again. The staff were polite, friendly and efficient and the food was to a good standard. The staff were all very good and you could not ask for more help than they gave when asked how to get to sandy park for the rugby they printed out a complete bus timetable which was very helpful and told me where the different bus stops were

There's not much I can add to every other review I've done on Premier Inn hotels. They are the most consistent hotel chain in the UK at the moment. I've yet to stay in a bad one. This particular one is perfectly located opposite the main railway station and within easy walk of the city centre and university.
