I spent the night of my wedding anniversary here with my husband last week and it was lovely. I had read on their website that there was no specific car park, but there is one adjacent to the hotel, we parked here and were able to purchase a ticket from reception, who were very friendly and helpful. She took us... More

This was my 3rd visit to the MC in the last 7 months, we've used the day spa, eaten in the restaurant a couple of times and just had drinks in the bar.The inside and out pool was divine even on the last day of October! The food has been consistently delicious, well presented and inspirational. The staff are always obliging and... We recently used the private dining facilty at the hotel for an informal corporate function for 12 people. The staff were exceedingly friendly and efficient which when coupled with the excellent food made for a very enjoyable night. The actual dining room was decorated to a high standard, unlike other hotels where it is just a room with a large... More

I stayed here with my chap last weekend (May bank holiday) on recommendation from a friend. We arrived early and were able to drop off our bags and told we could enjoy all the facilities until the room was ready. We were shown to our room which was of average size, with a cheeky little view and completely spotless. Good... More

The building itself looks reasonably appealing.... They do lack some parking space, that was rather inconvenient. Check-In is smooth and quick, they have an up to date technology point of view as well, like the complimentary IPads with there own software. Ranging from Web-Browsing to In-Room dining. Of course the hotel isn't to big and it's good value for money.... More

Great service, lovely well appointed rooms and superbly comfortable beds, super restaurant and food. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone. We used the pool and spa facilities which were also great. I will definately stay there again.

We stayed last night as part of our 25th wedding anniversary celebrations! On arrival (we were early) our room wasn't ready but we were still able to check-in. We were lucky enough to get a parking space (which are very limited - but there is a public car park just across the road) so we left the car and wandered... More

The Magdalen chapter is a truly wonderful hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for you - even before I arrived, the service over the phone was impeccable and they went far above and beyond what I would expect from most hotels. The atmosphere was excellent: extremely chilled out without feeling laid back. Clean and beautiful without... More

We stayed here for only a night over the bank holiday... On arriving we were a bit 'put out' that the hotel really doesn't have any guest parking except a handful of spaces at the front which there is a mad scramble for... There is a carpark fairly close, but you have to pay and display.... Inside however the hotel... More

Thank you for your review and I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. It is unfortunate we do not have more parking available at the hotel and I do hope you found the alternative car park adjacent to the hotel a convenient distance away. I hope we can welcome you back again soon. Kind regards, Fiona More

We popped in here last Saturday for cocktails and an opportunity to have a look at the refurbushment of this hotel. Looks really interesting and busy but we were vey disappointed in the staff behind the bar. We waited for 15 minutes and four members of staff completely ignored us, they didn't make eye contact or acknowedle our presence at... More

I am very sorry that you experienced such poor customer service at the Hotel recently. I would love to speak to you personally about your experience and therefore would be very pleased if you would get in touch with me at the Hotel on 01392 281000. Rest assured I have taken this very seriously and we are already putting steps... More
