Stayed here for one night as it was close to family we were visiting. Reception has no character; had to wait 5 minutes until someone came to check us in. Outside the car park area and surrounding areas feels a bit like a building site. We had a family room which was very spacious, but again no character, just very... More

I Visit Padbrook regularly for work meetings - staying occasionally. The staff are always very helpful and try to do anything they can for visitors. The hotel itself really needs a refresh -paint is very tired, bathrooms need a make over, they need to get rid of the blankets and counterpanes and use quilts. Food is not the most imaginative... We stayed at the Padbrook Park Hotel as it was close to a function we were attending. The rooms are larger than average although I found the beds really hard. Evening meals were average although my steak that was supposed to be medium came up well overdone. The bar area was very dimly lit and we thought it was closed.... More

Lovely place to stay and the food is fantastic value and tastes very yummy indeed. You can eat in the golfers bar or the restaurant but are good. Rooms are a good size with nice bathroom. The golf course is set in beautiful surroundings.

I stayed here in January for business & found it ok. It was during the snow so very quiet with people staying there mainly for courses/business. The dining area is pleasant enough & the bar area is nice. There is a good choice on the dinner menu. Staff at reception were friendly though they had no record of my booking... More

Had a booking for dinner on Mother's day for group of 12 and although the decor of the reception, bar and lounge areas is very new and pleasant, the dining area had an atmosphere of a canteen and the menu was decidedly "retro" to the point of reminding us of school dinners! Despite the nice touch of potted polyanthus for... More

Stayed for just one night while on business in the area and while everything was fine i probably wouldn't stay again. Friendly helpful receptionist on arrival, spacious clean room, good tasty food in the bar for a good price. But no one else around . I spent about 1 1/2 hours in the bar area for a couple of drinks... More

Stayed a night here in summer 2012, found it through surfing as we need a hotel locally as we have family nearby. We had booked superior room as we fancied a bit of a treat. Location was nice but no getting away from the fact this hotel caters for golfers! Reception and bar areas were clean but a bit soul... More

I stayed with a friend for a family wedding, the public areas were nice, the staff friendly and helpful, the wifi was none existent even though after an hour you had to pay for it, and we were woken at 7.45 on the Saturday morning by a group of men laying Tarmac, the noise of the roller and the truck... We stayed here for one night, and although the rooms were comfortable and clean, there was a distinct lack of staff. The Receptionist was checking guests in, taking food orders in the bar, and serving drinks, then rushing back to answer the phone. To be fair to her, she did this all with a big smile on her face.
