While on business I booked a last minute deal thinking I was getting a good hotel at a great price on laterooms.com, I cocked up as I did not know there was a “Guest House/B&B” category within the list! I actually paid £55 which was the full price anyway.. A great stay if you’re an Eastern European builder who goes... More

I stayed here with three of my friends, there were four of us in a dated skanky room, it smelt awfull, it would have been ok if we were looking for a BB on a budget, but I thought we had booked into a nice Hotel, it wants shutting down and re-doing up, do not go if you are elderly... More

I recieved a warm welcome at reception on arrival. My room was on the second floor (dormer room) and the young lady at the desk kindly helped me up withy my bags. In direct opposition to what I have read here the tv had a 100 channel tuner box with a superb picture and nowhere in the hotel did I... More

Hotel is located down by the river a fair walk from the train station. TV on its way out - the tube makes the TV green appeared that everyone was wearing a green poppy!. Other negative is a very small ensuite bathrooom - very cramped in the shower. Positives friendly Polish staff, late check-in, and nice cooked breakfast. Paid £130... More

Only stayed one night, we were in Exeter for a family party. We had a double room with en-suite. The room was a bit dated but clean and warm, nice thick towels and the bedding smelt clean and fresh. The bed was firm but comfortable. The room was ok for the money, basic no frills accommodation, ideal if like us... More

This is a Guest House really, so the term hotel is misleading or at least was to us. It's somehwere to sleep and not all guests are tourists or travellers, some seem to reside (DHS?) and people there for a short while to work locally. It is not worth £65.00 per night and if it was a lower charge and... More

Simply an old run down out of date business. This place is a complete internet facade. Looks good on the internet only.... in reality, this is an old run down, worn out hotel The rooms are clean and the staff is nice enough. However, the whole facility needs an upgrade. I saw this a place on their Web site and... More

1. Location: Not the best area in the City, lone women, or those who are a bit weery wouldnt want to be out alone at night. 2. Paper thin walls: You can here EVERYTHING going on in the other rooms, from Snoring, Bathroom visits, talking, and you can hear the Dump truck in the morning! 3. Dirty/Basic inside the hotel...... We stayed at the Oke Lodge for a week and were more than satisfied. Due to some of the entries here, we had expected the worst. Now we find all these negative comments not just unfair but illogical as well. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms clean, the breakfast and the overall atmosphere okay. No reason at all... It was like going back in time to the 50/60's. If this was in main land europe it would be shut down. The lack of care to the building and layout, parking was a joke. Yes the room was clean, but the toilet seat was broken and dirty floor. The bedroom carpet must have been laid by Tarmac sticky carpet and... More
