We stayed here for one night and were just looking for an inexpensive place to sleep near the waterfront while visiting the city. It was definitely adequate for what we needed. I was staying here with a friend and we were quite happy.

As a single traveller, I have found that I am not always made to feel welcome or secure. This was certainly not the case at The Firs. Lesley and Tony were wonderful. My dog was accommodated. Breakfast was on time and delicious. Whenever I asked, my son (who was graduating from Plymouth University) was able to have breakfast with me.... More

I stayed in room 4, a single room, a good sized room for such a bargain, £35 per night.TV worked and liked kettle for tea and coffee. Pine furniture and decor a little tatty but functional, comfortable and clean. Handbasin in room, toilet and bath down the corridor. Breakfast plentiful and good. Host, Lesley helpful and friendly.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Firs Guest House in the quiet suburb of West Hoe in Plymouth...I stayed for 3 1/2 weeks while visiting family nearby...the proprietors, Tony and Lesley are the best! We booked a twin ensuite room the night before arriving, and we couldn't ask for anything better for our money: spacious room in the attic, with a large double bed & 1 single bed. Tea & coffee facilities, TV & free Wi-fi. The toilet was great, with a nice shower and all the trims you need (shower gel, shampoo, etc...).... More

The Firs Guest House is a very nice place to stay. Tony and Leslley are really friendly always ready to have a good chat. There is one of the best children's park near by with lots of free rides. Grubby from the front door onwards, Stained bed linen. Out of 6 pillowcases on the beds only 2 matched. None of the bedding matched in colour. No toilet paper in toilet, showers on landing were filthy. Room had holes in wall. No handle on room door, or on wardrobe door. Window catch kept falling off. Dripping tap in bathroom. Good... More

The guest house is located in a nice area, near the sea front. Tony and Lesley create a friendly atmoshpere but you can be independent while staying there. What is more they are very helpful if you are in any need.

good hospitality, near to the city center and the sea. The rooms are good and the owners offer a excellente breakfast.
