Very easy going and relaxed atmosphere - breakfast, especially the bacon (!) is of good quality. Just one hint - croissants prefer ovens to microwaves. Comfortable bed/ location add up to value for money. Thanks

Have stayed at this establishment overnight on 3 separate occasions now and have always found it to be clean and comfortable, with the proprietors being extremely welcoming and friendly, and have enjoyed a great breakfast every time.

A most pleasant stay made the more agreeable by the warm hospitality provided by Jane and David. Clean & comfortable room. Delicious breakfast with lots of choice. A great location - easy access to The Hoe, Barbican and the shopping centre of Plymouth.

We stayed in Athenaeum Lodge for 4 days during Easter holidays and felt really good! Jane and David are very nice and helpfully. We are regular visitors to the Athenaeum and would not consider staying anywhere else. Convenient for all the best things in Plymouth, the Hoe, the Theatre Royal, the shops etc... David and Jane always make us welcome and the breakfast is fab. Looking forward to our next stay.

We had a very pleasant stay in David and Jane's B&B, which is centrally located and an easy walk from the seafront and the City centre. Lovely welcome, very clean and great breakfast! Parking was easy - get a very reasonable permit on arrival. We'll definitely be back!

This lovely B&B is run by the most helpful and friendly owners. The rooms were great and we will be going back to stay there again as my daughter is about to embark on her university career. With a breakfast as good as they serve here, why would we want to stay anywhere else?
