My family and I stayed at the Elfordleigh (3 rooms) on 11th - 13th May. We have family in Plymouth so stay here regularly. My daughter had her wedding here and 2 christenings. So we knew what to expect (or thought we did). Everything in this hotel looks shabby now which is a shame. It looks as if it needs... More

The room was a little on the small side with a high ceiling, it was also clean.. Despite the room feeling small, the television on the wall was even smaller, still, the picture was clear. I was gutted to find it didn't have a bath (room 8, Norfolk) or little pots of shampoo, just a wall mounted bottle. I'm not... More

I have stayed at this Hotel many many times over the last few years whilst on business in Plymouth, but this time when I arrived it had changed hands, and the difference was disturbing, I had asked for a room with a bath in it, and was told that there was only the bridal suite left with a bath, I... I stayed here for one night as part of a large group. From the outside it looks very nice and the golf course looks beautiful. I was a late addition to the party and therefore booked through an independent budget website. I couldnt help but feel this might have been why the others had large rooms with lovely views over... The photos look great and it should be a nice place to stay. However, they ran out of steaks, 40 mins to get a pre-order snack for a diabetic, scones that took 40 minutes to arrive, ran out of cups, butter etc at breakfast and another run out the following night. Rooms are big and comfy but twenty pence piece... More

We stayed here with another couple in August 2011 and I put off writing this review to see what other people who visited after us think of the place. We actually enjoyed our stay because the staff are so nice but the management needs to step up. We could see that refurbishment was taking place but in the meantime, rugs... More

Second visit to this hotel, i am never one to give up! last years christmas visit with friends was very poor, thank goodness the company was good. The hotel is very shabby and very very cold, its obvious that new owners have taken over, as the staff really didnt know what they were doing, and we were being constantley observed... More
