The relaxed atmosphere at Orestone Manor was perfect, the food was of a very high quality and the room was comfortable and relaxing, with a view of the sea. The owner and his staff gave the impression that they were there to make the stay as enjoyable as they could, and if that meant taking a relaxed attitude to meal... More

My family and I went to Orestone Manor for afternoon tea. It was my birthday and we were looking for a good, traditional afternoon tea without the high prices and fussiness of London’s hotel teas. It was perfect. We had a choice of sitting in the lounge (comfy squashy sofas, fire in the fireplace) or the conservatory (views of the... More

We had dinner last night at the Orestone Hotel which is just down the road from where we live and we will definitely be back! The food was absolutely gorgeous - being both vegetarians it is sometimes very obvious in restaurants that we are a bit of a 'problem' but the staff at the hotel couldn't have been more accommodating... We decided to try the Oreston Manor for dinner last night and enjoyed a fabulous dining experience. We started the evening with a lovely glass of chilled white wine whilst relaxing in front a stunning log fire. We then enjoyed a first class dinner followed by a gorgeous dessert. After dinner we decided to enjoy coffee and chocolate back in... More

Stayed overnight in one of the Gable rooms which was cosy and warm with a sea view (but perhaps in need of a bit of TLC here and there). We arrived late afternoon and enjoyed a couple of gin and tonics in the very comfortable lounge in front of a log fire. Very Agatha Christie, would not have been surprised... More

Visited with friends and had a great time. Lovely, characterful and historic building, in a mature peaceful cliff-top setting. Took the opportunity to check out the rooms our friends were staying in - and all were different and special. Lots of interesting quirky architecture, occasional chairs, stained windows, huge bathrooms and interesting books on the shelves. Our 6ft mattress was... More

We were here Friday to Sunday in February and stayed in the Horsley Suite. A large and comfortable room with a view of the grounds and the sea. If excellent service, top-notch hospitality and a glass of wine in front of a roaring fire are your thing book into this hotel! The staff were helpful in every way, from local... More

I was recently a guest at a 60th birthday party held at The Orestone. The food was excellent and the friendliness and the attentiveness of the staff was outstanding. The restaurant is charming with a lovely terrace and views of the sea. Picture postcard setting, comfort, service and cuisine - a marvellous venue. I will definitely be returning for Sunday... More

Lovely hotel with wonderful staff. Stayed in room 3 with a very large comfortable bed with crisp white cotton bed linen. Bathroom with double sinks, bath and separate shower, complete with lovely bath robes. Bar and lounge area is lovely with comfortable sofas and open log fire which was very welcoming after a day out and to come back to... More
