I had to stay in Bournemouth for a night as I was attending the funeral of my grandmother. I had travelled from the UAE to London and driven down straight after. I arrived at 11.30am and asked for my room. They said it was not ready so I told them I needed the room ASAP as I had to shower... More

I stayed at this hotel in May while attending a Conference in the town. This is my 5th stay at the Carlton. Previous comments have been made about the tired appearance of the rooms and I can concur with those remarks in past years. However......The Carlton is undergoing a big programme of improvements and they are steadily working through a... More

I stayed at this hotel May Bank Holiday with my family which covered an age range of 4 generations. We had several rooms overlooking the sea which were very clean, comfortable and spacious all had tea/coffee making facilities and TV. They looked recently decorated. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and could not do enough for us. We had... More

I stayed here some years ago and after changing rooms twice as we were unhappy with both rooms - for a 4 star hotel - we changed to the Royal Bath Hotel and this was a huge improvement. I have visited several times since just for meals and brought my aged Mother for Afternoon Tea and at around £15 each,... More

We spent two very enjoyable nights at this hotel. Our room was great with all the extra's that made it special. The bed was one of the best we have ever slept in. As for the food it was excellent and the service great. We would definetely recommend the hotel and would love to return again.

i recently had a one night stay at this hotel after seeing a fantastic show at The Pavillon. As a 4 star i expected a fairly good standard. The hotel front is impressive as is the location. However the room was not my idea of 4*. why do many hotels go for plain magnolia paint, why not some subtle colour.... More
