I was at the Manchester Hotel the same weekend as the previous poster and there were absolutely no bed bugs whatsoever! I have stayed here a few times and there hasn't been any all the other times aswell. It was very hot so there a few flies hanging around but definately no bed bugs! If there were I would have... The author of this article is incorrect. This sort of report destroy our business. Bugs were not identified and reported to staff on duty.. This week we had 80 guests from two coach parties and none of them reported an invasion of bugs. I think we must have an option of taking legal action when our business is affected when... More

Reading the negative reviews that this hotel has received on 'Trip Advosor' leads me to the conclusion that they have been written by rivals in the hotel trade. They are so malicious and actually bear no resemblance to what I experienced during the weekend that I and a few friends stayed there. Bearing in mind that this hotel does not... More

If your looking for a hotel with good customer service, great parking facilities, nice clean rooms, offering good facilities and value for money-Do not stay here! There is much to be desired at this hotel, It says it all when the hotel website has no photos for viewing before booking. The only plus side is that it is close to... More

I have just read the Review from others and must ask is there another Manchester Hotel in Bournemouth as the one we keep returning to each year for Christmas shopping? We have always found the Rooms to be clean, the food good, and the service of the Kitchen to Management Staff., cannot be faulted. We have no such complaints!

This has to be the worst dump in the whole of bournemouth. It seems to make a living from stag and hen nights ,and even the local taxi drivers consider it to be a truly awful place. The rooms are dirty and the food is terrible. Do yourself a big favour and sleep on a park bench instead of this... More

Dusty room, dirty bath, not enough tea and coffee. When I asked for additional milk you would have thought that I was asking for all the money out of the till. Very noisy with students running up and down the corridors shouting and screaming. Breakfast was barely satisfactory with the tiny sausage offered being undercooked.

This is partially in rebuttal to the wildly inaccurate review on 28 June 2010 by ‘manchesteredout’ – I can only assume his entry was a joke or he was staying at an entirely different hotel. The Manchester Hotel in Bournemouth is the very epitome of opulence, much in the style of the grande dames of Mayfair or the 8th Arrondissement.... More

Ok where do I start with this. Standing in the foyer of this "hotel" I knew it was going to be bad.....the smell was a mixture of damp and stale fried food and the interior looked like it hasn't seen an update since the end of the war. As we made our way upstairs amazingly the smell got worse but,... More

I stayed here on the hottest weekend so far in 2010 with a group of 20 or so girls on a hen weekend. The hotel was full, but it didn't seem like it. When I was given the details of the hotel in advance, I naturally looked it up on Trip Advisor, and was really worried by what I read!... More
