We stayed here for two nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel was comfortable, with a spacious and clean room, lovely gardens, easy parking and central location. The staff were welcoming and attentive at all times. On one night we enjoyed the restaurant's 7-course taster menu, which was superb. Good quality local produce was used to create beautifully balanced... More

My partner and I stayed here with friends overnight on a travel zoo voucher. We were very impressed with the rooms, staff, food and entire stay. I think we must have been upgraded to the bigger rooms as ours was very spacious as was our friends next door, large bath, separate shower, writing bureau, dressing table. As previous reviews have... I stayed at The Eastbury over the May Bank Holiday weekend which was during the Sherborne Abbey Festival so the town was pretty busy. I was staying on my own but preferred a double room and the staff were happy to oblige, although unfortunately there was only a single room available for the first night (which was very small!!). However,... More

If you want a cheap and cheerful budget hotel then the Eastbury is not for you. This family owned and run hotel has 23 en suite bedrooms ranging in price from £75 [single room] to £195 [luxury double room] bed and breakfast. As always, you get what you pay for. The rooms vary in size but all are very well... More

I would highly recommend this hotel! The place is well designed, nicely furnished and clean. The staff are efficent, friendly and very welcoming. We upgraded to a superior room which was modern and fairly large. There were big fluffy towels, dressing gowns and plenty of hot water. The bathroom had a seperate shower cubicle (nice and powerful shower) and a... More

Nice hotel, good food and very attentive staff make this hotel stand out from the crowd. Well appointed period rooms and furniture deliver a warm authentic taste of the area. We didn't sample the dinner menu but the restaurant is well regarded locally. Pretty walled garden adds to the experience. Well worth a visit if you fancy taking a trip... More

My sister and I were in the Sherborne area visiting relatives. The Eastbury provided a perfect base. The staff were all very friendly and professional. We stayed in the single rooms which are situated at the front of the hotel by the road, but it was still very quiet. The rooms were small and perfectly formed - very comfortable beds,... More

We returned to the Eastbury, following a camping holiday in Dorset. We treated ourselves to 1 night in a luxury room called Cowslip, (following a very cold few nights camping) which was heavenly .... huge, with beautiful bath in the room. The staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome with children. Food and breakfast were 1st class -... More

Visited the restaurant as a non resident. Access through a narrow corridor into a bar area and then the restaurant in a conservatory. We did find the descriptions of the offerings over elaborate and didn't add to the understanding of the dishes. Once received the meals were well presented, tasty and ample for our needs. The only downside was one... More

We had a mini break to celebrate a birthday. Had the hotel offer of a seven course taster menu. There were items on the seven course we would not normally order but we went with the chefs selection. That was the correct action as all the courses we had were very interesting and above all very tasty. Staff were all... More
