Most of Brighton was booked up on this particular night apart from the well positioned Royal Albion. At first glance it looks an impressive building right next to the pier and in a central position for all Brighton has to offer. But that's where the good points ended. The room was poor for a £170 room. the curtains didn't fit,... More

Do not even consider staying at this hotel, you would be more comfortable sleeping on the beach. The staff are extremely rude and incompetent, with no idea about customer service. The rooms were noisy, unclean and the toilet had to be pumped to flush. It was very hot throughout the hotel, no air-conditioning and some windows were sealed with paint.... More

We actually stayed here in August 2010 and should have realised how bad this would be as it was very cheap but I just thought we had a good deal! It is such a shame as this is a lovely building in a great location and could be fantastic with some TLC and a complete change of management! Even though... More

Please do not waste your money. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Friends of mine were actually on their honeymoon and the room they were given was filthy and disgusting. There were hairs on the pillow and the bathroom had not been cleaned in days with shaving foam up the wall. Needless to say the bride was in... More

I can't believe this hotel charges extra for a so-called jacuzzi bath... they should offer protective suits to wear before you get into their baths. Having travelled to developing countries, it is appalling to count this hotel as the most dire, with appalling customersservice and room conditions.

After reading all the recent reviews we were a little apprehensive about our two day break. But in all honesty we found the staff to be very accommodating and pleasant. Yes we agree with other reviews that the hotel is very dated and in need of some refurbishment, our room had a sea view and was very clean. The breakfast... More

Location is the only thing that this hotel has to offer. Situated a stones throw from the beach, pier, shops, clubs etc. That's where the good stuff ends and I'm afraid that all I want to do is throw stones at the Albion. There's nothing Royal about this tired, dirty, falling to bits, no good excuse for a hotel. I... More

Apart from the great location being very central and straight on the sea this hotel was a horrible experience. The room was large but stuffy, mould in the corners and no window that would open. The mattresses were a disaster, I have never ever slept on anything like it, not even in a youth hostel! Breakfast was just as bad... More

This was good location and free parking or nearly free opposite the wheel, lots to do central location for visiting other resorts and wee villages plus a lot warmer

Stayed here for a friends wedding! Booked a family room, with my two children and partner, which was huge with sea views and a spa bath. The staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble! Breakfast was Buffett style and had everything you could ask for, and was tasty too! Would definitely reccomend this hotel for families,... More
