We were extremely impressed with the quality of cleanliness, the bar area was spotless and so was the bedroom we stayed in. Peter and Kasha ( I hope I spelt right) were the perfect hosts. We stayed for 2 nights and had 2 good nights sleep, the bed was very comfortable. The bedroom had tea and coffee making facilities plus... More

Our second visit to this hotel. Stayed in King George 111 room, very spacious and light. Table in bay window to enjoy hearty breakfast. Excellent location in centre of the lanes, walking distance to beach, shops, pavillion, dome. Bad points - no parking, passers by can be noisy after pubs/clubs turn out, very soft bed.

We did not stay at The Market Inn since we weren't going to be there overnight, but we did have lunch at the lovely pub. Very friendly staff, lovely and relaxing interios with fireplace and window tables. The lunch special was a great value at GBP 5 - we both enjoyed the Winter Warmer special of steak and ale pies... We spent one night in the Market Inn in November 2012, and I couldn't have been more positively surprised by the quality of this small inn. There are only two rooms directly above the pub (which closes at midnight at the weekend), both look brilliant and spacious on the Market Inn's website, and we weren't disappointed when we were allocated... We have just spent a weekend in Brighton at the Market Inn, and it will be the first place I look for a place to stay the next time we are in town. There are only two rooms, directly above the main bar of the pub, and they are spacious, with a bath and powerful shower in the en suite.... More

I stayed here for a few days in June 2012 and was pleasantly suprised by the friendly staff and great breakfast served in spacious bedroom. Bar food was good too, especiall the chilly nachos. Would definately recommend this Inn to my friends.
