Dare I call it 'kitschy'? - in the nicest possible way... The combination of custom made cabinets in a classical design (white, with pillasters - ie TV-stand), pink lamp shades and flowery wall-paper was just charming - perfect for Rye. Our room was spacious (great lighting!), with a few steps leading down to the sleeping area from the entrance area... More

We are so pleased that these guests enjoyed their break with us, and hope they will indeed return to stay with us again. Many rooms are made up ready for guests with duvets, but some older guests prefer cellular blankets and sheets. The blankets are premium quality and are less "hot" to sleep under than duvets, however if guests prefer... More

This is the second we have stayed in The Rye Lodge, it is a lovely hotel where a great deal of attention has been made to make your stay very comfortable. The rooms are lovely, with nice biscuits in the room to have with your tea and bone china cups and saucers. We had a cream tea on one day... More

We have just returned from a very enjoyable holiday staying at Rye Lodge. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant, the food was very good, and our room was comfortable and quiet. As the hotel is centrally placed it is in easy walking distance of three recommended restaurants plus many others, and historical buildings in Rye. The champagne package... More

This was my second stay and even though I was in the smallest room in the hotel it was of the same high standard, pure joy. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the pool is an added bonus a great way to start the day. I had pre booked the local Webbes Fish Cafe for the first night but... More

Without exception, the staff were friendly, couteous and helpful. We stayed for two nights in Room 7 which is a lovely size, has a great bathroom and brilliant views. The evening meal booking arrangements were good and The Mermaid provided a perfect venue for our anniversary meal.

we drove two hours simply to have Cream Tea here and we were not disappointed by the service, the food or the village (and it rained all day), next time we plan to have champagne high tea as they have a very good selection by the look of things.

We have stayed here several times. The main attraction of Rye Lodge is that our boxer is welcome to stay with us. As always, our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff are attentive and friendly and the price, whilst a little expensive compared to London four star, is reasonable for this area. Are standards dropping a tad, though? A... More

We were welcomed by a new staff member who was left on his own to make head and tail of our multi reservation. Most of the staff were very friendly. We had a lovely room - quiet, clean and comfortable. Great shower.
