Arrived at 3.50pm and managed to park easily - I think we were lucky! The room & en suite was clean & bedding was crisp. Don't expect frills of any sort as it isn't that type of place. You get what you pay for. The voucher provided for the cafe 'Mannas' gets you one drink each - that's it. The... More

Booked the hotel for a Friday night and called up on the Thursday afternoon to say we couldn't make it because the girlfriend was very ill and they could resell it. It was a non-refundable and non-transferable booking which I was aware of. I let them know I would try and get someone from the event I was supposed to... More

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago. We were in the "cottage" at the back and we were delighted in this proprty. OK it hasn't many frills but it is clean, quiet and comfortable. The room was plenty big enough and the bed comfortable. It had tea/coffee tray. The shower was fine and hot water plentiful/ They don't do... More

Room very small but clean, very adequate for one night. We felt it was expensive £50 for February. (last time we stayed it was less expensive, therefore good value for money) No breakfast on offer either but they do have free parking. They recommended a place down the road which we did not try. Location is very good in Old... More

Lovely, friendly, helpful reception, clean attractive room, but hot water only if you were lucky. Boiler for accommodation in cottage inadequate for number of guests and owner resisting putting in an adequate system. Breakfast not included, and the Manna on Sunday, recommended venue for breakfast, which is lovely, does not open until after 9.00. We went to the nearby Co-op to... More

We booked this accommodation for a trip to Portsmouth and booked 2 rooms. We found a parking space thankfully on the street and went in through the pub to check in. We were told we could park where we had but we might get a ticket because a guest recently had done so! (we didn't so phew..) Checking in over... More

This is a hard one to call in some ways because I remember the D of B as a busy food led pub not the rather disinterested looking pub I saw last week. So hard to believe that this pub could not make money with the right kind of offering and service!? Firstly the room was clean and functional, and... More

Stayed here the night before the Great South Run. It is ideally located in a nice part of Old Portsmouth. A parking permit was provided to park in the local residents area behind the pub. Room was small and basic but was fine for what I needed. Reading other reviews, I think the rooms probably vary quite a lot. Staff... More

Sadly this was the worst 'hotel' that I have stayed in'. No breakfast; so this added an extra £10 for a couple per night.( Voucher referred to by others only offers a free drink) Drink making facilities were provided. The travel kettle was very small and took ages to boil; only two sachets of milk were provided which meant that... More

the "B&B" as its advertised isn't really a B&B because there is no breakfast available which is a shame because that is one of the reasons we chose to stay here but when we arrived we were told that they no longer do complimentry breakfasts because people were complaining about the lack of choice. The rooms were nice and tea... More
