We stayed at Florence House for 3 nights from 19th May. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. However, we had a room on top floor, it was room 5 if I remember correctly. We only stayed for one night on the way to the isle of wight and we were made to feel very welcome. We stayed in Room 2 which is not disabled friendly as it is up stairs ( we knew that) but there is a room down 2 small stairs which apparently is. The room was very " shabby chic"... More

This is the most comfortable, friendly, accommodating, and welcoming place we stayed at in England. Very sorry to have to leave. The breakfast is top notch, bathroom luxurious, bed comfy, close to the seaside walking area, away from downtown bustle. A lovely find.

Florence/Somerset House was one of the very best experiences we've had, domestic or international. Comfortable and attractive rooms, excellent service and very friendly staff, and the breakfasts were just amazing. Never had such good coffee/food at a hotel, and at reasonable prices. We'll stay there every time we visit our son.

Read the reviews before booking and can say that they perfectly described the hotel. Everything could not be faulted and it provides good value for the money. Just wanted to give a simple short review as afterall there is nothing to say but it is so good we will be back.
