I booked this hotel after looking at tripadviser and looking at the reviews. Ignore other reviews who suggest rooms are small, service limited etc - this really is a gem of a hotel. It's not a full service one but delivers based on price, location and quality of rooms. One issue is parking in Canterbury so get a space included... More

Being inside the Cathedral grounds it provided great views and felt special. Good location to all the bars and restaurants in Canterbury and the staff were all friendly. The room was on the small side although modern and clean.

If you are visiting canterbury, this is the only place to stay. Set within the cathedral precinct, which takes up about 25% of the old town of Canterbury and normally costs £9 to get in, Staying here you are able to come and go as you choose. It is lovely in the evening when the crowds have gone and you... More

This hotel is actually a conference center located in the middle of the cathedral grounds, and for a combination of access to the cathedral and general location, it's hard to beat. While not a hotel per se (i.e. no bar or restaurant - but a perfectly acceptable breakfast as well as beverages available at any hour), the accommodations were comfortable... More

I had a single room, adequate size, single bed, good desk and work chair, nice shower. View of the Cathedral to the right. Good, heavy drapes on window. Nice to have decaf coffee among the instant packets. The reception staff are pleasant and helpful. I like a single faucet in bathroom sinks, but this one had separate hot and cold... More

This is a wonderful experience! We booked a twin bedded room for 2 nights. Our window looked out to the Cathedral. Our car was able to be parked within the Cathedral grounds (extra cost, but better than having it outside the gates in a parking lot). The room was modern and clean, the dining room for breakfast simply lovely. Breakfast... More

The Lodge is actually a Conference Centre in the grounds of Canterbury Catherdral, so the location could not be better, but the accommodation is designed for conference delegates not a couple on a relaxing weekend. The bed was a bit small and there was no where to sit in comfort and watch TV other than the bed. If location is... More

What a find!!!! Right on the Cathedral grounds and owned by the Cathedral, we found the Lodge a very welcoming place to stay while in Canterbury. Very difficult for strangers to find in a car, as there are so many one way streets and dead end streets in Canterbury. We did not get directions before arriving (my mistake). Finally, we... More

We stayed here for a night whilst going to a wedding in the area. As we would only need the room between 1am and 8 am we decided to book a budget room. The website clearly states that these rooms are in a separate annex and have not been refurbished. The price is reflected in this. Generally the hotel is... More
