Looks a bit odd from the outside, dark wood (1970). Inside is modern, staff are friendly, lager is reasonably priced and the cheeseburger and chips are outstanding. The hotel is well situated for travelling about and the dockyard and precinct are within an easy strole.
The Ramada has two disadvantages - it is a chain hotel and the outside looks ugly; for some reason it is faced with unattractive black wood. However, don't be fooled, it is an excellent place. We stayed here for four nights while moving, the room was nice and clean but very small for a family room and there was no floor space when both beds were out. Breakfast was nice and we spent time in the bar and lobby which was clean and spacious. Would go back but would hope for another larger family room.

We had a long drive to chatham around 150 miles, I needed some slepp that night, the room was standard, but the location was terrible, it was next to the road and the A/C condensers, the loacls used the road like a race track and the A/C condensers kept switching on and off buzzing all night.

stayed here for one night - excellant room - lovely decor - most comfortable bed (apart from our own) that we have ever slept in. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Will use this hotel when we come to Chatham again. stayed 28th April '12.

We've stayed at a few Encore Hotels and find them reliable - better than Travelodge, and on par or slightly below Premier Inn.

You cannot check in before 2pm without paying for the privilege.
