We arrived at 4.30pm having driven down from Yorkshire to catch the ferry to France next morning. The owner Gary showed us our room, suggested a cup of coffee & a walk down the hill to a park with the River Dour running through, complete with swans & mallards. Just brilliant.. We had a meal in a local pub. After... More

Stayed one night. Lovely B&B with original features retained in the house.Gary was very hospitable host. Clearly enjoys his job and takes pride in keeping the place very clean. I stayed in a Large room (Family room, ongoing coversion to include en-suite) the room had surprising amenities such as docking station for I-pod and a great view. Breakfast was hearty.... More

I spent one night in this B&B before heading for an early ferry and it was well located for doing so as it's about 10/15 minutes from the ferry terminal depending on traffic. Parking at this B&B is mainly in a specifically built layby, at the side of the road, which had plenty of parking space when I stayed, but... More

We spent a week in the UK staying over at different B&B accommodations. This was not the best, but the service was good, breakfast good and accommodating [the bacon just the way you want it], but mainly we stayed here to visit one of the best indian restaurants. but having been there now, we shall most definitely come here again.

Gary was a fantastic host. He was very accommodating by letting us check in early and checking out later. It was a great location and a life saver for our weekend away to Canterbury as no accommodation was available in the city. The train station was only a 10mins walk away which took us directly into Canterbury. Breakfast was lovely,... More

Gary is a great host with a very good sense of humour, the rooms are immaculate and to a very high standard, as is the rest of the house. breakfast is very good and often comes with some of Garys home made Jams or Banana cake. This is an excellent place to stay to explore Dover or as we did,... More

The venue is handily placed just off the A2 on the edge of Dover, and has great views over the town of River. But the first problem was getting into it and booking in as first there was no sign outside and deciding which house it was was tricky; and then there was no answer at the door. We ended... More

Dear Traveler. This review is old and from a time when this house was run by another owner. The house was closed for some time after this and I opened again in July 2010. As you can see from my other reviews and my own website these comments bear no relation to the way I run my business today. Thank... More
