The Brickhouse was a wonderful place to stay - the rooms were very comfortable, spacious & spotlessly clean, Julia & Clive were great hosts, & the breakfast was really nice. The location couldn't have been better - about a 2 minute walk to the centre of town (close to lots of restaurants & cafes), but still in a quiet location.... More

I stayed 2 nights with my wife over the weekend after a business meeting on the Friday. Our room was very nicely decorated, and it looked as though it was recently done. The room was spacious, and included quality soaps, shampoos and hand creams, tea and coffee of various varieties, and a chocolate each! The bed was very comfortable. Everything... More

The location is really handy, less than ten minutes from the station and very near to the town centre. The house has lots of character, with curios, books and pictures adorning the walls. The owner was very friendly and let us arrive early and then leave our bags for a few hours on the day we left. The room was... More

Julia gave us a very warm welcome and did not mind that we arrived later then expected because of traffic on the M25. The room was massive with a very comfortable king size bed. Lovely hot bath in the on suite. Excellent breakfast and off street parking. The location is very central. My husband and I would highly recommend. Wonderful... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in September and were welcomed by Julia with home made cakes. We had the very large double room on the front with an equally large en-suite bathroom. The room was very comfortable with 2 chairs and table by the window, huge amount of wardrobe space, dressing table, but the main thing was the bed... More

I have just spent a few days at The Brick House, and booked it based on the description of the bedrooms and the photos of the outside and pool. Our bed room was not one of those in the photos, and while clean and bright, it was a mish mash of furniture complete with bookcase full of dusty books. The... More

We were very sorry that this guest felt unable to talk to us, as when asked they seemed to be very happy with everything, especially with the complimentary home-made cakes when they arrived. The beds in that room are standard single beds with top of the range mattresses less than six months old. Regarding our garden - guests are always... More

Stayed here for a family wedding. Great little bed and breakfast, excellent location for eating out and shopping. We had the main double room with private bathroom and it was huge, more than enough room for two people. Julia was very welcoming and recommended lots of things to do and see which helped. Would definitely stay here again.

My first review! Just spent 6 comfortable nights at the Brick House Bed and Breakfast. Room was lovely and spacious even with a substantial camp bed for our 11 year old daughter. Beds were super comfy with memory foam mattresses on both beds. En suite bathroom was large, light and airy with shower over full sized bath. There seemed to... More

I like to stay in B and Bs as they are often a lot more personal than a hotel. The Brickhouse is a perfect example! Clean, tidy and everything you need. The owners were very helpful and the location was perfect for our sightseeing. Would stay again next time we're in the area!

Fabulous B&B. Comfortable clean and spacious. We have stayed at many B&Bs worldwide and this is up with the best. Julia was welcoming and extremly knowledgeable about the town and surrounds. We stayed two days and would have liked more. Thank you Julia for going above and beyond
