Cracking beer, but £10 for a microwaved meal is a bit steep & a bit of a let down.

first impressions very good, just a pity the food didn't match the surroundings, I get better fish and chips at my local chippy.

This was our first stop on this years trip to the Lakes. We were not disappointed, food was nice and in house beer fab! The owner was really nice. We left happy and refreshed for the rest of our journey. We'd stop off here again.

The room we stayed in (room 2) had plenty storage space and a decent about of floor space so it didn't feel cramped in the slightest. The en-suite was well equiped and clean. However when turning on the tap the plumbing made a bit of noise and hopefully i didn't wake any of the other guests. Food is good pub... More

We've been coming here on a regular basis for over ten years. Since their micro-brewery was opened a few years ago we wish we could come even more often. This comfortable, friendly inn has everything that we love: good food , not gastro-pub, but just excellent, fresh and tasty meals - try their fish and chips, Cumberland sausage or steak... More

We called in for a meal after a drive through the lakes. We walked in to be met by more dogs than people. One dog had its paws on the bar. We counted over ten dogs in the dining room roaming around, needless to say we quickly left. There was no way we were going to eat with so many... More

this was our second visit to the Watermill, first visit at Christmas with friends. We wanted to take our family, 6 adults, 3 children, age range from 2years to 63 years for a family meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When I rang to reserve the table, I was initially told they don't reserve tables but the lady who took... More

stayed in room 7, quite small double room, bathroom looks newly refurbished and has everything you need. This room has a small balcony which is suitable if you wish to smoke or sit outside in the summer months, unfortunately there is a broken pipe and steam engulfed the balcony from time to time. Breakfast very nice, staff friendly, would be better... More

As part of a group of friends we stayed at the Watermill Inn, Ings and checked in for two nights. On arrival I was surprised to mind no reception area at all and we had to check in at the bar. The first room we were allocated was room 5 this was a dreadful room at the top of the... More
