Like the last poster we have stayed at this little gem on many occasions - it is our hotel of first choice in the Lakes. Very comfortable rooms and the best breakfast I have had in any hotel, anywhere, ever.

Must disagree with wooleyWigan we have stayed at the WALMAR on numorous ocations. All bedrooms have nice clean bathrooms with complimentary toileteries, dressing tables with mirrors and tea and coffee making facitlies including biscuits in every room we have ever stayed in. All in all good value for money.

Stayed here in March for 5 nights for a walking break. I wanted a cheap single room convenient for the town and fells. This is the best B&B you could ever find. Myself & husband use the Walmar at every chance we have at being in Ambleside. Malcolm & Doreen the owners are so very friendle and welcoming. The rooms are always spotless, comfortable. The breakfasts are just amazing and the highlight of our stay. A stay at the Walmar is a MUST!!!!
