Stayed here with my baby boy, the owners are very friendly and we were both made to feel welcome. Rooms are nicely decorated and everything spotless. Breakfast was great as is location. Would definitely recommend. No negatives.

My son , aged 10 , and myself spend 3 nights in Claremont House whilst we were walking the Windermere Way . I would recommend staying here to anyone wanting to spend some time in Ambleside . Good location , rooms very clean , good breakfast . David and Angela made us both feel very welcome .

Nothing negative to say about this b&b and hosts. Confirmed booking by phone, phoned ahead and got advice on where to park plus parking badge to park close. Booked a one night stay based on trip advisor and they were spot on. Compston Road is right in the centre of Ambleside which makes this B&B ideal if you want to explore the local shops, pubs and restaurants and not worry about the car.
