Brantholme is a great place to stay...we have used the B and B rooms and the self catering flat over a number of years....we have looked out over the back and seen deer at daybreak..also experienced the frendliness of the proprietors...park your car here and enjoy Ambleside shops and fascilities ...or take the many walks from the doorstep....wonderful place to... Brantholme Guest House is a lovely guest house with wonderful views in a very central location. Our rooms were very homely and well equipped with and 'old world' air. we have just returned from our hols in ambleside,we stayed two nights at the Brantholme guest house which we found very nice,clean central, and a very friendly helpful host,plus great breakfast,would recommend this establishment.

In one room the shower was inoperable. In the other room there was only a bath with no shower over. The hotel was stuffy and hot because the heating is left on in the summer to dry guests walking gear. The host was friendly until we politely informed him of a problem and then he behaved quite aggressively. I stay... More

The host was very friendly and extremely helpful. The guesthouse is great value and the location is perfect.
