We spent two nights in a family room with our two little girls at the Trout Hotel. The room was spacious and there was an interconnecting door to a separate room for our girls. The room was refurbished after the flood. Unfortunately we had the impression that some of the old furniture was kept, which didn´t really match the rest... More

It was great to stay at the Trout again, and after the floods that beset Cockermouth. The hotel was better than ever. Althought we didn't eat dinner the breakfast was well up there with best.

A nice hotel in a lovely riverside location. Rooms are cosy, modern and spacious. We had a two night package with dinner included on the first night. Dinner was good with substantial portions but was very expensive and we decided to eat elsewhere on the second night.

Stayed here 1 night on business. Had an upper room on the new wing. Bathroom was like an oven and couldn't see how to turn the heating off (isolator switch on outside), otherwise it was great, very comfy bed. Staff all friendly and helpful and breakfast menu / buffet was very good.

Stayed here in February for the 2nd time, great hotel, staff are very friendly, rooms are lovely and spacious. The food in the restaurant is excellent.Great location on the river and in the centre of town, we can't wait to go back....

We stayed here recently for a wedding in nearby Lorton. We were given a free room upgrade on arrival to a junior suite. A massive room and very well appointed.
