great room comfy bed very spacious lounge with large outside seating area.the breakfast was great selection of cereals, yoghurts and fruit juice plus excellent full english breakfast. the evening meals are on the expensive side as are the meals in the other pubs in the area. good selection of ales. staff were friendly would stay there again

We discovered the Sun some years ago while walking about in Coniston. At the time, the hotel was undergoing some building works so we were unable to eat there.
