we got a late booking at white moss for the bank holiday weekend, and when we arrived we were welcomed by Sue with homemade cakes and biscuits and a silver service cup of tea which we enjoyed in the sunny garden. Our recent trip to Grasmere was wonderful, however quite disappointed to stay at White Moss House. Thank you for alerting us to a problem with the heating in your room. With a new boiler and radiator thermostats the room should have been cosy and warm. We're very sorry that this was not the case. Unfortunately the guest was awoken by an extremely rare occurrence. A power cut in the night automatically triggered the battery backup to activate an emergency light.
