This was our third time at the Oak Bank Hotel and it was just as good as ever. As always, the food was fantastic - inventive and full of flavour. Simon and Glynis were perfect hosts and we had a wonderfully relaxing time.

I still can't believe how amazing food was. Wasn't really expecting it at all!! Owners are really nice and helpful. They let us have a really late check in and also breakfast little earlier than usual as we were going on an early hiking trip. Rooms were really nice and hotel really quiet. Also loved the view. If there's a better quality/value restaurant in the lake district I've not managed to find it in over 10 years of visiting.Only one that's come close was Underscar manor and that's no longer, sadly.Didn't stay over, as booked hotel with additional facilities for this trip. Ian H.

I honestly cannot fault this place! Very professional, amazing food, rooms beautifully decorated, with such attention to detail....expensive smellies in bath room, a nip of sherry and a cafetiere in room....great! Grasmere is very central in lakes son location fantastic! I will definitely be returning!!
