We enjoyed our stay in Winderemere which was breathtaking and made all the better because we had fantastic warm and sunny weather. Our stay at The Coppice was pleasant enough, the hosts Chris and Margaret were very accommodating and hard-working. The room we had was room 1 which was facing the road. It was spotlessly clean but if you can't... More

Lake District and Windermere are by far the most scenic place I have ever been to on Earth. And to top it, a lovely British Home and living in a room where you could sleep watching the stars!!!! Yes Coppice is just that. Coppice is run by a very warm couple-Barbara and her husband!! The house is made up with... More

Went to the Coppice for 4 nights B&B, we picked it because it is dog friendly, we had a lovely room on the ground floor, clean towels and room cleaned every day, the breakfast was very nice with plenty to choose from, ranging from full English, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, kippers, numerous cereals, porridge fruits, homemade marmalade, the list is... We have just returned home from a 2 night stay at the Coppice. When we arrived the greeting was luke warm at best and not very welcoming. The information about the Coppice was delivered more as at set of do's and dont's. Our en suite shower room was very small and the pillows were firm to the point of being hard.... More

My husband and I stayed here on 26-28 April 2013. The photographs on the website for the standard rooms were very misleading. The room was small (very) and the ensuite facilities were laughable. The bathroom was so small that you could sit on the toilet and brush your teeth at the same time! (If you had a mind to). The... More

Dear Both we thank you for your review which follows the fact that we charged you for smashing the very Large, 2 ft high Blue flower pot which cost £44, and sat on the slate step at the edge of car park leading up to our front door. The flower pot is there and of such size to stop guests... More

We spent a few days at the Coppice, room 9 during April. We were welcomed on arrival by our host, Barbara, who made us both feel at home as soon as we arrived. As it was my wifes birthday the same day, she was pleasantly surprised to see our hosts had left a bottle of Cava in our room with... More

Some people have remarked on the "small room sizes" we booked a double room, and we found it to be ample size for a couple (your not going to live there its a short break ). if we had to mark our stay out of 10 it would be a big 10 . Chris

Went to see daughter in Windermere. Coppice had good reviews and wanted to do a couple of days walking (Bit cold on the top and couldn't do High Street because of the snow!) Room was warm and comfortable, but bathroom was very small and cold - no bath which admittedly we should have asked for - we need a good... More

Spent two nights here. Was in the main a nice place to stay. Very clean, great location, nice breakfast. However room was small and small bathroom. Disappointing as it is by no means cheap. Would probably go elsewhere for that price next time.
