Very welcoming hostess in Kitti,breakfast was quality,clean room with en suite,tv and tea/coffee facilities,excellent location with lake windermere a stones throw away and all local bars and restaurants surrounding the cottage,the parking pass for the nearby car park is also a very helpful touch! The only negative was the guest snoring in the next room keeping me awake at times... More

Stayed for two nights at Rose Cottage 26th/27th April. We were going to a wedding at The Old England Hotel this was a 2 minute walk away which was great. Third visit to rose cottage, kitti is an excellent hostess, always has a smile for you, cooks a wonderful breakfast and the location is first class. “A lovely place to stay!”

I spent a night with two friends, and we fell in love with this place. The breakfast is amazing, and Kitti (the owner) is really nice and helpful. Besides, it's located next to the lake and in the heart of Bowness-on-Windermere. I recommend it for couple visitors, or family.

Small and quiet hotel at bowness on windermere, few steps from the lake shore... the rooms are cosy and warm...breakfast includes all you need...there are pubs and restaurants for an evening out...the host ketty is very caring and nice! overall good value hotel...

What a perfect place to stay! Right in the centre of Bowness with free parking available on the pay and display car park around the corner. A 2 minute walk takes you to Lake Windermere where you can catch cruise boats to Ambleside or Lakeside or just cruise around the centre of the lake (which we did, a definite must!)... More
