Received a lovely welcome on arrival and could not fault either the service or accommodation during our stay. The guest house is ideally located between Windermere and Bowness offering the ideal location for old and new visitors to the Lake District.

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely few nights with Heather who is a nice friendly person with good advice about the local area. The room was very clean and we felt right at home. Breakfast was served in a friendly effecient manner. When next in Windemere we will stay there again - very good value

We stayed at the Chestnuts for 3 nights in November and it was perfect. The room was very peaceful and the breakfast was lovely. Heather was very nice and attentive and we highly recommend a stay at the Chestnuts.
